Not sure if here is the right place for this topic?

Apparently the SA Births Deaths and Marriages regulations expire soon and they are asking for submissions about new regulations
Sorry I don't have the details for who to contact etc but presumably if anyone is interested in making suggestions regarding the option of recording donor conception on the birth register, you could ring BDM and find out more
http://www.ocba.sa.gov.au/bdm/contact.html
I'm thinking of doing it but keep forgetting to phone them during working hours!

Cheers, Bev

Contacted BDM.
Regs have already been reviewed and the changes come into effect on Sept 1st.

The legislation that would be more appropriate in regards to birth certificates is the Family Relationships act, which apparently was amended only recently too (for surrogacy).
So it looks like we might have missed out there too.

The only avenues left if you want to change how birth certificates are used is to lobby your MP, the health minister, attorney-general etc.
